This filter uses a Slim-Line mount for wide angle lenses. It's The height is only 5mm and it does not have a front accessory thread to avoid vignetting with lenses as wide as 17mm in 35mm format, and some photographers report success with lenses as wide as 16mm. A slip on lens-cap is supplied with Slim filters.

Great filter, and good value for the quality and build.

In my experience it still shows a little vignetting up to 22mm on a Canon 16-35mm lens (ff sensor), but not to a degree that makes it unusable, and is easily corrected.

End of the day, it's still the best slimline polariser - and even better for it's price point.
