The Ricoh G600 has been tested with Ricoh's strict shock-resistance test for a 1.5m fall, which conforms to the standards of the US Department of Defence, and passed with flying colours. As with all of Ricoh's compact digital cameras, the Ricoh G600 presents a strong feature-set, including a 5x optical wide-angle zoom (equivalent to 28-140mm for a 35mm camera) and a 1cm macro function and a flash range of 10m. The Ricoh G600 digital compact camera is provided with a large capacity lithium ion battery which lasts for approximately 360 shots (CIPA standard). If the battery runs out whilst you are in the field, the Ricoh G600 also accepts AAA batteries.
